Glover's Ledge was established on N'dakinna, the unceded ancestral homelands of the Abenaki peoples past, present, and future. We acknowledge and honor with gratitude the land, water, and Abenaki Peoples who have stewarded N'dakinna through generations and continue to do so today. In June 2014, Antioch University New England received a donation of foreste

d land in Langdon, NH called Glover’s Ledge. The landscape provides exciting new opportunities for the university as a center of student research and education. Rich with pine, hemlock, oak and maple, and home to turkeys, deer, raccoons, foxes and bears, Glover's Ledge is open to the public year-round. The Monadnock Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the property, protecting it from development and assuring that it will remain a place of natural beauty for years to come. Glover's Ledge allows hunting all year round on the property for a select few people who have permission during hunting seasons. On Sundays and/or days when you hear gunshots, "Lookout Lane" trail is closed. Hunting season:

Across the globe, environmental activists play a crucial role in the environmental justice movement. In the face of intensifying environmental impacts due to climate change and increasing structural barriers to legal and policy change, communities may increasingly turn to protest, activism, and non-violent civil disobedience as an alternative means to having their voices heard.

Join us in the Community Room on the Antioch University Keene, NH campus or online via Zoom on Friday 10/4 at 7:00 PM ET to hear Mia Montoya Hammersley, Director of the Environmental Justice Clinic and Assistant Professor of Law at Vermont Law & Graduate School, talk about the role that the criminal legal system plays in the battle for environmental justice.

In June 2014, 76 acres of forested land were generously donated to Antioch University New England (AUNE), followed by an additional 4 acres that includes our Classroom Barn. Over the past decade, Glover’s Ledge has become a cherished space for learning, stewardship, and community engagement.

We invite you to join us in celebrating ten years of progress towards our mission of connecting AUNE with the greater Langdon community.

Our Story

In June 2014, Antioch University New England received a donation of 74 acres of forested land in Langdon, NH called Glover’s Ledge. The forest provides exciting new opportunities to the university as a center of research and education. Conservation Biology students have already begun documenting the local plants and animals. The area is rich with pine, hemlock, oak and maple and provides home to turkeys, raccoons, foxes and bears. The Monadnock Conservancy holds a conservation easement on the property, protecting it from development and assuring that it will remain a place of natural beauty for years to come. Here's some things to know about Glover's Ledge: 1. On Sundays and/or days when you hear gunshots, "Lookout Lane" trail is closed (all year round). 2. Glover's Ledge allows hunting on the property for a select few people who have permission during hunting seasons. Please enjoy the trails, but do so safely! http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/hunting/hunt-dates.html
