Today and tomorrow will be a tough day for visible soil erosion. In todays world, we've grown to expect instant results from our actions. Tree planting and conservation is unique in that the actions we do today are for a better tomorrow. If we want our future generations to continue our deeply rooted farming legacy, conservation needs to be at the forefront of decisions and actions.

Programs and assistance are available, whether its for tree planting or for some management practice changes on your farm. Stop in your Local SCD/NRCS field office to learn more.

The Langdon NRCS/SCD office will be closed on Wednesday December 24 through Friday December 26. We will be back in the office on Monday December 29. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to come.

The Cavalier County SCD sponsored a team from the Langdon High School to attend the North Dakota Enriothon held on September 24, 2025 at Islantic State Park. We are so excited that Langdon High school took 2nd place and will be attending the State competition next spring of 2026. We had a beautiful day for the event.
