Storm Update:

Over the days leading up to this past weekend's storm our crew prepared for and ultimately staffed our stations to provide quick responses to any emergencies that arose in our community. A total of almost 300 hours was put in by 21 of our volunteers in a matter of a few days.

During the storm we also responded with our sister organization Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad to all EMS calls in our district to help ensure they had access to the patient, were able to get into the home and get them into the ambulance.

While in station our crews participated in new recruit training and station maintenance. It was great to see so many of our new members staff our stations for their first major storm.

Thank you to Styer Orchard for opening so we could get breakfast and lunch and Brothers Pizza for the food on Saturday that became dinner on Sunday. We are so lucky to have great local businesses like those two and The Sandwich Club Langhorne and Sandy's Beef & Ale that are always there for the LMFC.

Lastly, but still very important, please clear the hydrants in your neighborhood. So many remain either limited to access or are plowed in. We know they are not easy to dig out in this freeze but also think how hard it is to do by the firefighters in the moments we need them during an emergency. That delay in water supply will absolutely hamper fire suppression efforts and the safety of fire crews.

We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please consider joining our great men and women who work to make a difference and keep.our community safe. Message this page if you are interested.
