Middletown Township Police Department

10/24/2026

The scammers were putting in the overtime today for sure. Our officers took numerous calls about scammers hailing from the “Sheriff’s office” and others were from the “Bensalem Police Department” needing some money for various infractions.

Just as a reminder we do not take bail money in bit coin, gift cards, or at all. So that is 🚩 number one. 🚩 Two, we will not arrest you because you missed jury duty. Lastly, if you get a call saying a family member needs to be bailed out- hang up and call that family member directly, with the number you have for them. If by wild chance you happen to hang up on an actual cop because crazy Uncle Pete really did get locked up… no worries we will call back.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day – This Saturday

A reminder that National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is this Saturday, October 24, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM!

There are several convenient locations throughout Bucks County where you can safely dispose of unwanted or unused prescription medications (some locations also accept sharps), including two right here in Middletown Township. Both Middletown Township locations accept sharps:

GIANT Supermarket – New Falls Road

GIANT Supermarket – Flowers Mill Shopping Center

Take a few minutes to clean out your medicine cabinets and safely dispose of medications you no longer need. Proper disposal helps prevent prescription drug misuse and keeps unwanted medications out of the wrong hands.

This morning, the Middletown Township Police Department was recognized by the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission for our continued commitment to the Medication Take Back Program. Middletown collected the most medications of any municipality in Bucks County during the most recent Take Back Day in April.

Middletown Township has participated in this important initiative since its inception in 2010, providing convenient opportunities for residents to safely dispose of unwanted and expired medications and helping keep them out of the wrong hands.

Thank you to our Board of Supervisors for their continued support of our Police Department and these important community initiatives, the Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission for the outstanding work they do throughout our county, and the Neshaminy Coalition for Youth for their amazing work supporting prevention efforts in Middletown Township and the Neshaminy School District.

We appreciate this recognition and thank everyone who helps make this program a success.

A reminder to our residents: The next Medication Take Back Day is this Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents can safely dispose of unwanted medications at numerous collection locations throughout Bucks County, including the two GIANT supermarket locations in Middletown Township on New Falls Road and at the Flowers Mill Shopping Center.

We’re so excited to support Shop with a Cop this holiday season! ❤️

Chic Woods, ImproveRite Home Remodeling, LLC, and Muscle Mowing are joining forces through December 1 to support the Middletown Township Police Department and its neighboring law enforcement partners. Now in its 11th year, Shop with a Cop gives children from Lower Bucks County the chance to shop alongside local officers and enjoy a brighter holiday season. This year, the program is expected to serve more than 375 children—and community support helps make it possible.

Here’s how our businesses are giving back:

✨ Chic Woods: We’ll donate $20 for every refinished furniture order, plus a $100 contribution from our company.

✨ ImproveRite: We’ll donate $100 for every new service contract signed.

✨ Muscle Mowing: We’ll donate $20 for every completed qualifying job, including cleanup, leaf removal, junk removal, and aeration.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting the children and the wonderful officers who make this event happen. If you’re a local business interested in joining in, we’d love to see more of our community get involved!

Not local but still want to help? You can donate directly through the event’s Venmo- found in the comments below.

Let’s help bring a little magic to the holidays. 💕

We use the "runner" term loosely - even if you dabble in running, jog, like a good speed walk, or just want to join in on the Halloween fun - WE WANT YOU!

In the near future, two of Middletown Township’s K-9 officers will be retiring, which means we need to raise the funds to purchase and train two new K-9s to continue serving and protecting our community. 🐾💙

This is OUR K-9 Unit, and the Foot Pursuit 5K is our chance to rally behind them!
