This morning, our firefighting personnel responded to a structure fire and upon arrival observed light smoke emanating from the residence. During the investigation, units discovered a mattress on fire in the bedroom. We urge parents to ensure their children do not play with lighters due to their hazardous nature. Great job to our firefighters on scene for their prompt response and swift removal of the mattress from the home.
