The moon complex near Agnes recently shifted and gained some growth due to wind and weather the tender task force was requested and Langlois fire sent a tender and type 6 with our firefighters to help stay safe and we will update you when we have received more updates

Last week, emergency responders had a meeting to address concerns about the road closure, as this affects Bandon's Fire District as well as Bay Cities EMS and cuts them off from being able to respond to a portion of their district. We are sure everyone knows by now that HWY 101 at Fourmile will be closed this weekend for repair. We wanted to assure everyone that emergency services for this area during this time will be operating "normally."

Apparatus will be staged south of the culvert replacement so that emergency responders may have access to them. Langlois and Sixes Fire will be expanding our response area to Fourmile to assist Bandon. Cal-OR EMS is also expanding their coverage to the road closure.

Bandon Fire, Langlois Fire, Sixes Fire, CFPA, Cal-OR EMS, Bay Cities EMS, Coos Sheriff's Department and ODOT were all in attendance to discuss possible scenarios and how to get resources where they need to be in case of an emergency.

The road is scheduled to be closed this Friday evening around 9 pm and open back up late Sunday night. Stay safe, everyone!

As we approach the 4th of July, we want to remind everyone that fireworks and dry vegetation dont mix.

Under current public use restrictions, fireworks are prohibited on all forestlands protected by CFPA — that includes both public and private timberlands.

🔥 Report fires immediately by calling 911
