PECO is working on North Cannon Avenue today from Main Street to Seventh Street. Flaggers are in place and detours are posted. Avoid the area if possible and allow extra travel time if you must travel that area.

Sometimes sharing the road means giving each other a little extra room to roll. This week's summer street smart tip is about cyclists "taking the lane". That simply means they ride in the center of the travel lane when it’s the safest option. It’s not about blocking traffic...it’s about being visible, avoiding hazards near the curb and making sure drivers can clearly see and safely pass when there’s enough space.

Sharing the road works best when we all understand what each other is doing. A little awareness goes a long way toward keeping our streets safe and life in motion!

Heads up, EV drivers! Starting June 15, Lansdale Electric Level 2 chargers are switching from free charging to paid charging. That means users will need to pay while charging and may also see additional fees if vehicles remain plugged in after reaching a full charge.

After careful review and consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s Lansdale Memorial Day Parade due to the weather conditions, though the true purpose of the day remains unchanged.

The Memorial Day Ceremony will still take place and has been moved indoors to Penndale Middle School.

We encourage everyone to join us as we come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Rain may change our plans, but it will not diminish our gratitude. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

This Memorial Day weekend, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication and love of country will never be forgotten.

Borough offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of the holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26 at 8:00 am.

Heads up, drivers! Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20 is Bike to Work Day, which means your morning commute may include a few extra people on two wheels wearing helmets.

Please slow down, give bikes plenty of space and keep an eye out when turning or opening doors. Safe streets keep life in motion!
