Thank you to everyone who supported the 5th Annual Magellan Food Drive. Your generosity helped make a real difference for local families in need, and we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our community.

The food drive is now officially concluded, and we are no longer collecting donations at the police station.

Because of your kindness, all items collected will remain local and will go directly to individuals and families in need right here in our community through the MontCo Anti-Hunger Network.

We appreciate everyone who took the time to donate, share the message, and support this important effort.

This Week in Traffic Talk — Pa 75 § 3310: Following Too Closely

Following too closely, commonly known as "Tailgating," is one of the leading causes of rear-end crashes — and it's against the law.

Pa 75 § 3310 states: "The driver of a motor vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of the vehicles and the traffic upon and the condition of the highway."

Remember the 3-Second Rule:
✅ Pick a fixed object ahead
✅ When the car in front passes it, start counting — 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, 3 Mississippi
✅ If YOU pass it before reaching 3 seconds — you're too close

Rain, snow, fog, or ice? Add even MORE distance.
Tailgating cuts your reaction time and increases your chances of a crash.
A few extra seconds of space could save a life.
Drive safe, Lansdale.
