North Penn Water Authority

North Penn Water Authority A dedicated, professional workforce committed to providing the community with a safe, reliable, and economic water supply.

North Penn Water Authority is a municipally owned, non-profit Authority with a ten member volunteer Board of Directors. Board members are appointed to a five year term by their member municipalities. It is the responsibility of each member of the Board of Directors to represent their communities’ interest in the running and operation of NPWA. Board meetings are held once per month and are open to

the public. The most important duty of NPWA is to provide the public with a safe and reliable supply of drinking water. Our employees, many of whom are NPWA customers themselves, take pride in being able to provide this service to the community. What started out as a small water utility serving 7,000 customers in 7 municipalities has grown to one providing water to over 36,000 customers in 21 municipalities. There have been many changes over the decades, but one thing has remained the same. NPWA is committed to bringing our customers a safe, reliable, and economical water supply now and into the future. Hey, Rob! 👋
What is Rob doing, you ask? PA One Calls!

Did you know we get about 150-180 requests per week?
When we get a request, it generally means someone needs to excavate, dig, or perform work near underground utilities.

We must then determine whether any of our water lines are underground and mark the location if so.

Souderton, Hilltown Township, and parts of Telford - you're up next! The final stage of our Annual Fire Hydrant Flushing Program will begin in these areas beginning this Sunday night (5/17).

If water discoloration occurs, run cold water for a few minutes until it clears. Thanks for your patience as we ensure that hydrants will function in the case of a fire. Flushing also improves water quality by removing the build-up of materials from the inside of water distribution pipes.
