At my Shred & E-Waste event last weekend, we also held a canned goods drive for Manna on Main Street with the help of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Phi Beta Omega Chapter, and I’m proud to report we collected over 500 pounds of food to help make sure our neighbors have the necessities. Thank you to everyone who brought a donation!!

Last weekend, we held my annual Shred & E-waste event at the Montgomery Mall, where we helped you dispose of documents securely and recycle old electronics responsibly. Thank you to our friends at Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Phi Beta Omega Chapter, The Junkluggers Of Bucks, Montgomery, And Philadelphia Counties, and Richter Mobile Shredding for helping us get the job done!

Today, JBS USA announced the closure of its plant in Franconia. While this may have been a corporate business decision based purely on numbers, the human cost will be devastating, and the effects will be felt across our community. These are 1,500 jobs that will be permanently erased, most of them union jobs. That's more than a thousand of our neighbors, losing steady paychecks at a time when it's already challenging for families to afford the basics of life. Those paychecks were also critical to supporting our local businesses and Main Street economies every day. This is a gut punch, and I am in active discussion with other state and local officials to see how we can help each other through it.

Had so much fun at the 49th Annual Lansdale Day hosted by Rotary Club of North Penn. It was the perfect weather for such a fun event. I visited many talented booths and was able to pick up a bag for my wife! Can’t wait for next year.
