Sycamore Park

The Lansdowne Sycamore, estimated to have been germinated in the mid-1600's, stands as a living link to pre-European development in America. Long celebrated for its age, size and unique shape, the tree stands as the centerpiece of Sycamore Park. During America's Bicentennial in 1976, the tree was adopted as the official logo of the Borough of Lansdowne. Sycamore Park was created with support from

the Greater Lansdowne Civic Association, Borough of Lansdowne, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and many other private donors. You can bring your dogs to the park and let them run around or just sit under the tree or out in the sun or even do some yoga or just some regular exercise. I am yet to see anyone do these things other than sit around or play with their dogs, but they are all doable. It's a very nice park and I thought there should be a real page for the historic landmark.
