Open Door Abuse Awareness Prevention

Open Door Abuse Awareness Prevention ODAAP is a domestic violence PREVENTION program for youth ages 10-21.

In Philadelphia alone thousands of women and children have needed intervention due to intimate partner abuse. We are confident that prevention is vital to promoting healthy relationships and stopping this cycle. ODAAP works with local Philadelphia a public schools, colleges, and youth organizations helping to promote healthy relationships using evidence based curriculum (Safe Dates) to facilitate

violence prevention workshops. Through the medium of sports we have been able to facilitate Coaching Boys Into Men, another evidence based curriculum helping young men to learn respect for each other, and especially women and girls. ODAAP provides instruction on anger management and relationship problem-solving and gives youth opportunities for participating in prevention programs.
