The new Lansford Tax Collector is Joseph Pavlis. Please be patient if you mailed or used the drop box for July payments . There are processes the new collector will need to put into place. Your check will be cashed around or after 7/16/24. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you everyone for your kindness after the unexpected death of my husband, the former tax collector, Terry McCall. The Lansford Borough Tax Office will be closed until further notice. Please use the drop box located in front of the Borough Office or mail your payment. Check, money order, or cashier’s check only.

The 2024 Borough and County tax bills will arrive the first week of April.

If you do not receive your tax bill / bills by April 15 2024, please call the Tax Office (570 645 0270) so that we may issue you a new bill / bills.

NO CASH PAYMENTS !!!

There are 3 ways to pay your taxes

1. Stop in the Tax Office and pay in person
2. Place payment in drop box
3. Send payment thru the mail to the Tax Office

Taking payments into the Lansford Borough Office is not permitted, and will not be accepted. Borough workers are not bonded by the County, to accept payments for the Tax Collector.

The Tax Office will be open to accept payments on Monday April 1 2024. The Office will be open from 8am to 3pm.

Please be aware, that all taxes (Borough County and School), are in the PENALTY !!!

December 31 2023, is a SUNDAY, so please plan ahead.

If you are mailing in a payment to the Tax Office, the last day to do so is Saturday December 30 2023. Your envelope must be at the Post Office by 1130am, on that day.

If your payment is mailed out after that time, your envelope could be postmarked for January 2 2024, which would make the payment late !

Any late payments will be returned, and your tax bill / bills will be sent to collection.

All taxes are due on or before SUNDAY December 31 2023. If you need to know about your tax bill / bills that are owed, please stop in or call the Tax Office (570 645 0270).

The hours for the final week of the year, are as follows

Tuesday December 26 12noon to 6pm
Wednesday December 27 2023 9am to 3pm
Thursday December 28 2023 12noon to 6pm
Friday December 29 2023 9am to 1pm

The Tax Office will not be open on Saturday December 30 2023 nor Sunday December 31 2023.

The last day to pay the FLAT amount on SCHOOL tax bills, is Thursday November 30th. The Tax Office will be open that day, from 12noon until 6pm.

The Tax Office will also be open from 8am to 4pm on Wednesday November 29th.

If you are mailing in your payment, please have the envelope at the Post Office on or before 445pm on Thursday November 30th. This will ensure the correct and valid postmark. Any mail not postmarked with a valid date, will be returned, and you will have to pay the PENALTY ! There are no exceptions !!!

Just a reminder, September 30 2023, is the last day to pay the DISCOUNT for SCHOOL Real Estate and Per Capita tax bills.

The Tax Office will be open that day from 8am to 10am

The Tax Office will also be open Friday September 29 2023 from 8am to 1pm

If you are stopping in the Tax Office to make a payment, please remember on Saturday September 30 2023, Lansford Alive will be having their Fall Festival. Some streets will be blocked starting early in the morning. Parking will be limited. I ask anyone who is making a payment in person, please try and make the payment before Saturday September 30 2023

If you are mailing in your payment, please have the envelope at the Post Office by 1130am on Saturday September 30 2023. Putting your payment in the mail after this time / date, might delay having the postmark of October 2 2023, which would make your payment NOT eligible for the DISCOUNT

Just a few reminders .....

1. NO CASH PAYMENTS !!!!!

2. Please pay the exact amount on the tax bill, the SCHOOL does NOT want extra money.

3. Please DO NOT take tax payments into the Borough Office. They are NOT bonded and are NOT allowed to accept the Tax Collectors tax bills.

4. Tax Office hours are as follows .....

Please note, the Tax Office is only open on Saturdays in the months of April, May, August and September.

The Tax Office hours, are also on top of the tax bills you receive.

The 2023 SCHOOL tax bills (Real Estate and Per Capita), will be arriving the first week of August.

If you do not receive your tax bill / bills by August 15 2023, please call the office so I can mail you a bill / bills. Also, you can stop in the TAX OFFICE, and I can print you a bill / bills if you do not receive them in the mail.

All residents of the PANTHER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT, are responsible to pay the Per Capita (personal) tax bill. It does not matter whether you own a home or you rent, the tax bill is your responsibility to pay.

If you need to speak to me, please call the TAX OFFICE (570 645 0270), and I can answer all your concerns.

The DISCOUNT period for the SCHOOL, starts on August 1 2023, and ends on September 30 2023

Just a reminder, the last day to pay the Borough and County taxes at the FACE VALUE, is Monday July 31 2023

The Tax Office will be open that day from 8am to 4pm

If you are mailing in your payment, the tax bill along with the check or money order, needs to be at the Post Office by 445pm that day in order to receive the FACE VALUE. Any mail post marked August 1st or later, will be returned and you will have to pay the PENALTY ! There are NO EXCEPTIONS !!!

The Lansford Borough Tax Office will be closed on Tuesday July 18th, Wednesday July 19th and Thursday July 20th

You can mail in your payment, place in drop box outside the Tax Office, or stop in the following week to make a payment.

The Tax Office will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday July 25 2023

Just a reminder, the last day to pay the DISCOUNT is Wednesday May 31 2023. The Tax Office will be open that day from 8am to 4pm.

If you are mailing in your payment, you do need to have it at the Post Office by 430pm on Wednesday May 31 2023. If the postmark is after May 31st, the DISCOUNT will not be honored, and the payment will be returned. There are NO EXCEPTIONS !!!
