Today's the day! August 31 begins this year's State Employees Charitable Campaign, a chance for State of Michigan employees to create a tidal wave of support for Michigan communities. Employees can choose to donate to over 700 charities through regular or one-time payroll deductions. This year's campaign is chaired by LARA Director Marlon Brown, and we couldn't be prouder!

In Michigan, referees and judges for unarmed combat events must be licensed -- a process which is managed by the Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission (MUCC), a part of LARA.

LARA's Bureau of Construction Codes (BCC) wants to hear from you. Join us Thursday, August 27 at 9:00 a.m. in Lansing, MI for a public rules advisory meeting on the proposed draft Part 8. Electrical Code Rules.

Representatives from the bureau will be available to discuss changes and hear comments on proposed changes.

LARA's Bureau of Professional Licensing (BPL) is responsible for licensing and regulating over 700,000 workers whose professions range from acupuncturist to occupational therapist to veterinarian!
