Today's the day! August 31 begins this year's State Employees Charitable Campaign, a chance for State of Michigan employees to create a tidal wave of support for Michigan communities. Employees can choose to donate to over 700 charities through regular or one-time payroll deductions. This year's campaign is chaired by LARA Director Marlon Brown, and we couldn't be prouder!

State of Michigan employees can join the wave and learn more at MISECC.org. 🌊 🌊 🌊

Every great matchup needs someone who knows the rules of a fair fight. 🥊

In Michigan, referees and judges for unarmed combat events must be licensed -- a process which is managed by the Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission (MUCC), a part of LARA.

If you're a referee, judge, or looking to become one, sign up now for ABC Boxing's upcoming training sessions to satisfy licensing requirements for bare knuckle fighting, muay thai-kickboxing, boxing and MMA officials happening this September!

was proud to join Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy yesterday for the Summer 2026 Intern Showcase, an opportunity to highlight the valuable work EGLE and LARA interns have done for Michiganders this year.

At LARA's Bureau of Community and Health Systems, intern Swarna Kathi's work focused on the impact of licensure and compliance on community health systems.

We are grateful to this group of summer interns for their important work and dedication to public service.
