You could get here from Charlotte or Winston-Salem in about 2-1/2 hours and 15 minutes from the Virginia Creeper Trail.

NOTICE - MOUNTAINEER CAMPGROUND CLOSED

The Mountaineer Campground will remain CLOSED for the rest of 2026 due to the renovation. No vehicles are allowed due to damage to the re-seeding. Do not use the campground area for walking or swimming at this time. The campground is looking great and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2027 to enjoy this facility.

Work is continuing in the Creeper Trail Park as you know. We are asking everyone that uses the park, to be mindful of the workers and equipment. There will be moving equipment for the next several days, so always stay on the walking trail and be careful. If you have children with you, keep a closer eye on their activities. NOTICE!

THE TOWN OF LANSING TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING

The Town of Lansing will be holding a public hearing to solicit citizen input on the submission of an application for Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds. Funds available from the Commercial District Revitalization program of CDBG-DR total $111.4 million. The application will be for CDBG-DR funds to be used for acquisition of property and development of a waterfront park.

A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the Lansing Town Hall located at 9316 NC Hwy 194 N, Lansing, NC. All interested citizens are invited to attend.

The Creeper Trail Park, at N & W Lane, will be CLOSED tomorrow, July 7, 2026, to all visitors, walkers, fishing, playground, etc. until 4:00 p.m. There is ongoing work scheduled in preparation for the next step of the renovation process. Hello everyone,
Just a quick note here to draw your attention to all the work going on in the Creeper Trail Park. We have a crew doing extensive work in the main park at N & W Lane here in Lansing. This crew is doing stream restoration work and have multiple trucks, large machinery, and heavy stones in the park. Please stay mindful of these as you walk and enjoy the park.
