The Friends of SVSU PAC (Political Action Committee) is dedicated to providing assistance to policy makers who work towards advancing the position of SVSU.

Over the past month, Saginaw Valley State University has hosted many elected officials on-campus. Including, U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, U.S. Senator Gary Peters, State Senator Ken Horn, State Representative Tim Kelly and Democrat Lieutenant Governor Candidate Garlin Gilchrist. Over the next week, we'll also be hosting Republican Lieutenant Governor Candidate Lisa Lyons.

The relationships built with these individuals comes from the friendships of our stakeholders in the Friends of SVSU PAC. We appreciate all of the support that you provide to your University.

It is always an honor to have Michigan Attorney General and Republican candidate for governor Bill Schuette visit SVSU!

Michigan Attorney General and Republican candidate for governor of Michigan Bill Schuette met with SVSU students and community members on Friday, Feb. 16, in Gilbertson Hall at 5 p.m.

Friends of SVSU--

Don't forget to join us tomorrow (Friday--November 11th) at the Cardinal Nest Tavern for the 2016 Governmental Affairs Reception from 4-6PM. All members of the "Friends of SVSU" will receive two drink tickets and be entered into our annual raffle. As with every year, there are many various prizes from local establishments!

Currently we have nine legislators attending, along with staff from an additional four offices. Also, we will be giving a second recipient the "Eugene Hamilton Political Advocacy" award. Finally, there will be a check presentation by the AT&T Foundation to the STEM@SVSU program.
