🌊 Aquatic Center FAQ: Let’s Clear the Water! ☀️

We’ve heard a few questions floating around at the admissions desk, so we wanted to clear something up…

💦 No discount is applied to a season pass if you buy a day pass first.

We love seeing everyone enjoy the Aquatic Center, whether you’re visiting for the day or making a splash all summer long! However, day passes and season passes are separate purchases, and a day pass does not count as a credit toward a season pass.

If you’re planning to visit more than a few times this summer, a season pass may be the best value! Season passes provide unlimited visits throughout the season and are available for purchase at the Aquatic Center.

Thanks for helping us keep the information flowing! 🌊😊

REMINDER: Aquatic Center Fees (including punch cards and season passes) are nonrefundable

☀️🌻 Happy Summer Solstice, Lansing! 🌻☀️

Summer has officially arrived!

Today marks the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the moment when the sun reaches its highest point in our sky, giving us the most daylight hours of the entire year.

The word “solstice” comes from Latin words meaning “sun stands still,” because the sun appears to pause before beginning its seasonal journey across the sky. While our daylight hours will slowly begin to shorten after today, summer is just getting started — and there is still so much sunshine ahead! 🌞

The Summer Solstice is the perfect reminder to step outside, explore, and enjoy the beautiful spaces right here in our community. Take a walk, have a picnic, play at a park, visit the Lansing Arboretum, or simply spend a little extra time soaking up the sunshine with family and friends. 🌳

Your parks are here for you — all summer long. We hope you make memories, discover something new, and enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer!

Happy Summer Solstice from Lansing Parks & Recreation! 💚
