We would like to welcome Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist Ather Jammoa to our team! Ather has worked as an AT instructor for several organizations in Michigan and has been a member of our AT team for several years. In his new position, he looks forward to working closer with teachers working with students who are blind/low vision as they prepare for college and beyond.

There is still time to sign up for our Goalball and Adaptive Sports Camp! In addition to doing team challenges and skill-building activities, participants will explore a variety of games and adaptive sports, including goalball.

Seedlings will offer an Inclusive Storytime on September 4 in Livonia! Learn more and sign up below ⬇

Our next Inclusive Story is back at Seedlings with a fall-theme for back to school! Join us on September 4th, with special partners PEDALS, a program through Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan.

This free event will feature song and dance, tactile and sensory toys, and braille enhanced books. Participants can even take a book home with them! There will also be an ASL interpreter at the event. Everyone is welcome!

August 25 is our big shipping day 📚🎉 This shipment will include books that were requested to be brailled or enlarged. They will go to the “ship to” addresses listed in each request.

This year, we received 433 production requests! So far, 370 are finished and either already shipped or ready to go on August 25. The remaining requests are still moving through production.
