Go, Band!

September 13, 1996, downtown Leavenworth had its first annual River Fest with a parade that traveled along Shawnee. This picture, and the ones that will follow over the next week, were taken for our local weekly newspaper, The Lansing Leader.

On Sunday the Lansing Bands lost a proud alumni. David Studnicka, class of 1996, passed due to complications from MS.
David was proud to be a part of the bands at LHS where he played trombone and earned the John Phillip Sousa award. David was being treated at the VA in Leavenworth and we made contact with him last year. He talked often about about his memories being a part of the band family at LHS.

Our hearts go out to David’s family and friends.

David Alois Studnicka, 40, Lenexa, died at home on July 7, 2019 due to complications from MS.
