Michigan AEYC includes all who wish to contribute and encourages those who have not yet participated. Michigan AEYC values the contribution each person brings to the process. Michigan AEYC sets high standards and is identified as providing and advocating for quality services. Michigan AEYC supports the professional development of those who work with young children by supplying quality training, materials and membership services. Michigan AEYC is in the forefront of advocating for the availability and accessibility of a quality, developmentally appropriate educational program for all young children in Michigan. It advocates high standards of quality for the licensing of programs and facilities, and the certification of teachers. đź“ŁProvider Alert for programs who participate in the CDC Scholarship Program
MiLEAP has been informed that the Michigan Office of Auditor General (OAG) will be conducting an audit of the CDC Scholarship program beginning this week.

Audits are a routine part of government oversight and help support program integrity, accountability and the responsible use of public funds.

The OAG has informed MiLEAP that it is planning unannounced visits to a small number of child care providers that have received a CDC scholarship payment and underwent review between October 1, 2024 and May 31, 2026.

As part of this audit, the OAG is assessing MiLEAP’s efforts:
• To select child care providers for time and attendance reviews designed to identify fraud and other program violations.
• To disqualify childcare providers it found to have committed intentional program
violations.
