AmeriCorps is a national service program that promotes and addresses critical needs in communities. Peckham’s Economic Opportunity Coaching Program began in 2013. Grant funding for the EOCP has been provided by the Corporation for National and Community Service and the Michigan Community Service Commission. AmeriCorps members serving in the Economic Opportunity Coaching Program provide individuali

zed and group coaching to Peckham clients and eligible community members from Ingham, Eaton, Clinton and Calhoun counties. Members coach people with disabilities, refugees, and low-income individuals in the areas of financial literacy, adult education, employability skill development and tax preparation in an effort to help them achieve and maintain economic stability.
