WE NEED WINE WALK STOPS!

We’re looking for businesses willing to welcome participants into their location and be part of the 2026 Lansing Fall Uncorked & Untapped Tasting Trail.

Our goal is to have 40 Tasting Stops, but we’d like to secure at least 20 to make the event a success.

This is an opportunity to:

✨ Introduce your business to potential customers
✨ Be featured on the official Tasting Trail
✨ Receive event promotion
✨ Be part of one of our community’s most exciting fall events
✨ Connect with hundreds of participants exploring the area

We need this information finalized so we can create our maps, signage, participant materials, beverage distribution, and all the other details necessary to make this event run smoothly.

Businesses from Lansing AND surrounding communities are welcome!

You don’t need a brick-and-mortar location to participate. You can register as a vendor and set up a pop-up tent/vendor booth to showcase your business and connect with event participants.

We’re putting together Participant Welcome Bags, and we’d love to include items from our local businesses!

☕️ Multi-Chamber Coffee Hour Update

Due to the continued impact of last week’s tornado, with businesses and residents in our communities still without power, we have decided to postpone this week’s Multi-Chamber Coffee Hour.

We want to give everyone a little more time to get back on their feet and allow our local businesses and community members to focus on what matters most right now.

Village of Lansing Public Works crews and emergency personnel are actively responding to storm damage by removing fallen trees and clearing debris throughout the community. Village Code Enforcement and the Village Preparedness Coordinator are also working directly with affected residents to provide assistance and connect them with available resources.

We appreciate your patience as recovery efforts continue. For your safety:
•Never approach or drive over downed power lines. Always assume they are energized.
•Avoid unnecessary travel in areas with significant storm damage.
•Give emergency responders, Public Works crews, and utility workers the space they need to safely perform their work.

Residents with fallen branches from the storm are asked to place them at the curb. Public Works crews will make additional passes through neighborhoods over the coming days to collect storm debris.

The Village of Lansing is in regular communication with ComEd regarding downed power lines and ongoing power restoration efforts. ComEd has deployed more than 2,300 personnel across the region to respond to storm damage. As of 6 a.m., crews had restored power to more than 300,000 of the approximately 530,000 customers affected by the storm.

ComEd expects to restore power to about 80% of affected customers by noon on Wednesday, July 29, with most remaining customers restored by 10 p.m. on Friday, July 31.

If you encounter a fallen tree, blocking a public street or sidewalk, please report it to the Police Department’s non-emergency number listed below so Public Works can add it to the removal list.

If your property is damaged, use caution when documenting it, and contact your insurance provider as soon as possible to begin the claims process.

☕🤝 Connections were brewing this morning!

What a wonderful morning at our Multi-Chamber Coffee Hour! The Lansing Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to join the Munster Chamber of Commerce - New , Highland Griffith Chamber of Commerce, Schererville Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce for a morning filled with networking, collaboration, and meaningful conversations.

Events like these remind us that some of the best opportunities begin with a simple introduction. Whether you met a potential client, found a new business resource, or simply enjoyed reconnecting with familiar faces, every conversation helps strengthen our regional business community.
