Together with the Detroit Caucus, Obsidian Advocacy, and the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network, Sen. McMorrow toured the progress of the 7-Mile Behavioral Health campus, which broke ground in June. The new integrated wellness center aims to address health disparities and improve access to care in Metro Detroit and is designed to provide comprehensive physical, mental, and behavioral health services under one roof. It was made possible by $60 million in state-budgeted grant funding and will feature suites for physical health, dental, and vision care services, ensuring holistic care for the community.

âš  Water main connection work is scheduled for today, Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wildwood Street between Nine Mile Road and Kenwood Street as part of the City of Oak Park's water main repair and replacement program.
Following the restoration of service, some residents may notice temporary water discoloration or sediment. This is common during water main work and is generally not a cause for concern. If discoloration occurs, run cold water from a bathtub faucet or laundry sink until the water runs clear. Residents should avoid washing clothes until the water has cleared.
To help minimize the possibility of discolored water entering household plumbing, residents are encouraged to avoid using water during the scheduled shutoff period.
For questions contact the City of Oak Park Engineering Division at (248) 691-7580.

They captured the 2026 MHSAA Division 1 Girls Track & Field State Championship, securing the program’s fourth consecutive state title. Congratulations to this amazing group of student athletes!
