Happy Last Day of School, Aviators! ✈️💙

As we wrap up another incredible school year, we want to thank you for sharing your amazing children with us. We have truly loved every moment of this journey together and feel so blessed to have been part of their growth, learning, and memories this year!

A few important reminders as we head into summer:
• Report cards have now been published in Home Access Center (HAC) and will remain available until June 19, when our database rolls over for the new school year. If you would like a hard copy for your records, please be sure to print it before then.
• Don’t forget to complete registration and let us know that your Aviator will be returning to Adkins next year!

We hope your summer is filled with rest, laughter, adventure, and lots of special time together. Have the BEST summer, Aviators! ☀️

Aviators we have made it to the last two half days! Don't forget that we dismiss TODAY and TOMORROW at 12:00. We are a closed campus to lunch visitors on early release days due to schedule changes.

We cannot wait to see you at yearbook signing today in the cafeteria from 4:00-6:00.

Aviators, our End of the Year Parties are right around the corner. On Wednesday, May 20th we are going to celebrate a fabulous year of learning! We want you to know that our amazing PTA will be providing a pizza lunch for every student. The cafeteria will not be open for the day. You are welcome to send additional snacks, fruit or other items to pair with the pizza if you like.

If your child has dietary restrictions or there are other concerns please reach out to your teacher so we can problem solve with you.

It's going to be an AWESOME day! We are set to jet!

At Adkins, we live by Learn, Connect, Serve and every year we give back to our community through the Dorothy Adkins Memorial Scholarship, an endowment created by our PTA to award a scholarship to a graduating senior that also graduated from Adkins.

This year, we had the opportunity to partner with Coach Smejkal, Mrs. Drost, and RunforDylan Foundation, who led fundraising in February for an additional life saving AED Station in our Lantana community. Thanks to your generosity, they had funds left over and decided to apply them to our endowment to create four additional scholarships for this year.

On Wednesday evening, Principal Adams, Coach Smejkal, and our PTA President, Andrea Weber, had the honor of presenting these scholarships and graduation cords to FIVE deserving Adkins Alumni at the Denton Public School Foundation Scholarship Presentation.

Dear Aviator Families,
I am excited to share some wonderful news with you! Adkins has been selected as one of the very first pilot campuses for Denton Independent School District’s new mobile app and Rooms communication platform, and I cannot wait for our Aviatot Families to experience it.

One of the things I value most as your principal is the strong partnership between our school and your family. When communication is clear and consistent, families feel connected to campus, students feel supported both at school and at home, and together we can celebrate the moments—big and small—that make our school community so special. This new platform is going to make that connection even stronger and more seamless.

With this new app, everything you need will be in one convenient place—messages from your child’s teachers, campus reminders, district updates, and school events—all right at your fingertips. No more juggling multiple apps or worrying you may have missed an important update. You will also be able to customize notifications, so communication works in a way that best fits your family’s schedule.

At Adkins, we are always looking for ways to strengthen the home-to-school connection, and I truly believe this tool will help us do just that. Thank you for being such an important part of our school family and for partnering with us to support our students each and every day.
