We provide animal control services for all unincorporated areas of La Porte County and we also operate the county animal shelter. We enforce municipal ordinances and laws governing animal control and protection and we provide a safe and caring environment for animals in need.

This is Toby🤎

Toby used to be named Eddie. He was adopted from us in July and unfortunately was not a good fit.

🐾Toby is approx 1 1/2 years old and has A LOT of fun energy. He did start some training classes and does know some things 😬

🐶Toby comes off VERY strong with other dogs so we can’t say he would be good to live with other animals.

The previous home did NOT have children, so we also can’t say whether or not he would be safe with kids.

If you are active and willing to include a k9 best friend in on all of your adventures… Toby could be your dude😬

Simon just really wants to belong to someone, to fit in somewhere🥺

He can be very nutty in his run, let’s face, the shelter life can be very stressful and create a lot of anxiety. However he is a pretty darn nice and somewhat chill dog once he gets outside and can relax a little.

He just needs a chance❣️

Boo officially has a new family to love (and maybe boss around a little)

His new mom felt a little tug at her heartstrings when she saw his picture/video posted to our page. This family is well versed with this breed and knew that they could offer him the absolute best that life has to offer ❣️

She also has the LOUDEST purr when shes happy..which is all the time!
When shes not snuggling you, she loves to play with her feather toys or search for the mice toys that she hides from herself 🙃
