As we wrap up the 2026 Primary Election, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who played a role in making this election successful. Elections require an incredible amount of teamwork, preparation, patience, and dedication behind the scenes — and we are truly grateful for each and every person who helped make it happen.
⭐️ Thank you to our Election Board - Katie, Heather, and Julie - for taking the time to answer questions, meet with candidates regarding campaign finance, schedule meetings, and handle the countless behind-the-scenes preparations necessary to conduct an election.
⭐️ Thank you to the Clerk’s Chief Deputy - Kari - for coordinating equipment drop off and pick up, organizing bags, forms, and critical Election Day materials. She handles an enormous amount of responsibility seamlessly and keeps operations running smoothly.
⭐️ Thank you to our Election Deputy - Taylor - for working tirelessly to keep the public and candidates informed while handling communicating with polling locations, poll workers, candidates, and the public on top of administrative tasks, phone calls, emails, documents, spreadsheets, social media, website updates, and keeping everything organized throughout the election process.
⭐️ Thank you to our poll workers for devoting your time to assisting voters and helping conduct this election. It is not an easy job and can often be stressful, but elections simply could not happen without your commitment and service.
⭐️ Thank you to our early voting and absentee workers for the countless hours spent helping voters, organizing applications, checking signatures, processing forms, and ensuring voters received the assistance they needed. Your hard work helped us achieve a new record for early voting turnout.
⭐️ Thank you to our Voter Registration staff - Christen, Angie, Jerrilynn, and Judy - for always being willing to assist voters, poll workers, and the Election Board. Your knowledge of statutes, deadlines, voter statuses, processes, scheduling, addresses, and election procedures is invaluable and greatly appreciated.
⭐️ Thank you to our Travel Board teams for transporting equipment into homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals to ensure every eligible voter who wanted to cast a ballot had the opportunity to do so.
⭐️ And finally, thank you to the candidates. There would be no election without individuals willing to step forward and run for office. Putting your name out there, meeting deadlines, filing paperwork, attending events, answering questions, and yes — eating all the pancakes — takes dedication and commitment. We appreciate the time, effort, and willingness it takes to serve your community.
Thank you all for a successful 2026 Primary Election.
