We’ve run several calls over the past 24 hours Involving Carbon Monoxide!!

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a silent killer—odorless, colorless, and deadly. Portable generators produce high levels of CO.
Never run a generator inside your home, garage, basement, crawl space, or near open windows, doors, or vents. Place it outdoors at least 20 feet from your house, with the exhaust pointed away.
Install and test battery-powered or plug-in CO detectors with battery backup on every level of your home. If the alarm sounds or anyone feels dizzy, nauseous, or has a headache, get outside immediately and call 911.

The members of La Porte Fire Department Local 363 are keeping La Porte County Sheriff's Deputy Jon Samuelson, his family, and his law enforcement brothers and sisters in our thoughts and prayers following today's tragic incident.

Deputy Samuelson has faithfully served the citizens of La Porte County for 12 years and is a dedicated first responder who has always answered the call to help others.

We stand with Deputy Samuelson and the entire La Porte County Sheriff's Office during this difficult time and wish him strength, healing, and a full recovery.
