With the Primary Election tomorrow, please keep in mind that we may not be able to register any newly purchased vehicles. The Clerk's Office is closed to all business except the filing of land documents; therefore, titles won't be able to be created tomorrow.

For the first time in years, Albany County is between sixth penny projects. One result is lower sales tax for exactly three months. Another is a 4% boost to 2018 ballot projects.

The Property Tax Refund Program is now open and accepting applications for the 2025 tax year. You may qualify for money back on your property taxes—make sure to check!

Follow up to sales tax rate change in Albany County

The Wyoming Department of Revenue sends notice of sales tax rate changes in their newsletter "Taxing Issues". This newsletter should accompany your sales tax report that they send you. Additionally, the sales tax rates can be found on their website here: https://excise-tax-div.wyo.gov/sales-use-tax-rate-charts. If there are changes to the sales tax rates, they will only change quarterly (January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1).
