As a reminder, the Laramie Rec Center will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7th. Additionally, our fitness classes will be canceled Saturday, September 5th-Monday, September 7th.

We want to apologize, a post that was scheduled for Wednesday did not go out, announcing that a portion of the Greenbelt Trail would be closed for the weekend. Completely user error on our end, so we are sorry.

The closed section is small, right before the Trestle bridge, but it does disrupt traffic getting over the bridge. The alternate route should be taking the Snowy Range pathway to McCue and routing around that section.

This is the start of the West Side/West Laramie Connector Trail Project. This particular closure will end either Monday or Tuesday, after the new concrete has had time to cure fully. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will post updates on both Facebook and our website for other closures as they occur.

On the upside, this is an exciting new trail that will provide a safe and fun connection from Snowy Range Road in West Side to N. Pierce St in West Laramie. This includes new pathway, as well as repairs and rehab of the historic trestle bridge!

It's almost time for our first public skate of the season! We will be opening our doors to the public on September 1st, with our first public skate being from 12:30pm-2pm that day.
