Press Release
5/18/2026

The water main located within the deep drainage ditch has been successfully repaired. Due to recent excessive rainfall, the ditch area became heavily flooded, preventing repairs from being completed safely until water levels had adequately receded.

The water tower is currently in the process of refilling, and residents may experience temporary fluctuations in water pressure during this time. To assist with system recovery and stabilization, residents are respectfully asked to conserve water usage until the tower has fully replenished.

The City Clerk is actively coordinating the delivery of a pallet of bottled water for public distribution to residents as soon as it becomes available.

The City’s Public Works Department and Utility Operator have worked tirelessly to remove storm debris from city streets and complete the necessary emergency repairs to the water distribution system. Their continued dedication and prompt response have been essential in restoring services to the community.

The City greatly appreciates the patience, cooperation, and understanding of all residents during this time. City personnel postponed personal travel plans and have remained committed to addressing community needs following the recent storm event, while continuing preparations for the possibility of additional severe weather.
