✨TAMIU ROTC would like to take a moment and congratulate MS1 Cadet Diego Rodriguez on his selection as Cadet of the month. Cadet Rodriguez achieved a high score on the ACFT and has proven outstanding participation.

We also asked him a question a couple a question:

-What do you plan to do when you commission in the U.S Army? I plan on serving 20+ years in the United States Army, branching infantry and plan on reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel upon retirement.

-What are you majoring in and what do you plan to do with your degree? I am pursuing a degree in kinesthetology and plan on becoming a physical therapist for disabled veterans after retiring from active duty.

-What do you think of your experience in the ROTC program so far? I truly believe the ROTC program has enabled me to learn more about the fundamentals of becoming a leader in the United States Army. I enjoy everything the program has to offer and highly recommend it.

✨TAMIU ROTC would like to take a moment and congratulate MS1 Cadet Mirelys Zoe Velez Rivera on her selection as Cadet of the month. Her continued performance and dedication to the program has been unparalleled. She was a vital asset to our booth at the Halloween Fest at our campus which assisted in amplifying our presence on campus!

When we interviewed her we asked her a few questions:

-What you plan to do in the U.S. Army? I would like to try out Either Military Intelligence or the Infantry branch.

-What degree are you currently pursuing and what do you plan to do with it? I am getting a degree in History to work as a teacher internationally.

-What do you think of your experience in the ROTC program so far?
I didn’t know what to expect at first but I love it! It has helped enhance some responsibility and integrity skills. I plan to continue and commission upon graduation.
