Parents and caregivers as your little ghosts and superheroes head out trick-or-treating tonight, itโs a great time to remind them about when (and how!) to call 911 ๐
๐งก If thereโs an emergency like someone is hurt, lost, or in danger call 911 right away.
๐ค Make sure kids know their address or how to describe where they are.
๐ฌ Teach them to stay calm and answer the dispatcherโs questions help is on the way!
๐ And remind them: 911 is only for real emergencies not spooky pranks!
Extra Trick-or-Treat Safety Tips:
๐ฌ Stick with a trusted adult or group, never go door-to-door alone.
๐ถ Walk on sidewalks and cross at corners, no running across streets!
๐ฆ Carry a flashlight or glow stick and add reflective tape to costumes so drivers can see you.
๐ท Make sure masks donโt block vision or breathing.
๐งโโ๏ธ Check costumes for loose parts that could trip you up.
๐ซ Wait until youโre home to check candy before eating, or let an adult check candy before eating.
๐พ Keep an eye out for pets, even friendly ones might be startled by costumes.
