February Newsletter
Hello Club-214 Family
We hope everyone is doing well and settling into 2026. January was a busy and exciting start to the year for the Club, and we want to take a moment to recap what we accomplished together, share what’s coming up in February, and give you a look at what we’re building toward in the months ahead.
January Recap
On January 17, we hosted our BBQ Throw Down, and it was an incredible success. The event brought together veteran organizations including VFW Post 2550, VFW Post 12186, American Legion Post 283, American Legion Post 275, and Club-214, all competing for bragging rights and the traveling trophy. The day was filled with great food, friendly competition, live music, and strong community support.
A huge thank you to our sponsors De Armas Law, FranCoach, First Command Financial Advisors, and Reflected Wellness for helping make the event possible. We’re also grateful to OneBlood for being onsite to accept blood donations. They were hoping for 7 donors and ended the day with 11 donors, helping to save 33 lives — an incredible impact. Thank you to everyone who donated.
Additional thanks go out to Next Phase Distribution for supplying beverages and to our anonymous meat donor who made sure every team had what they needed to compete. Congratulations to Oldsmar VFW, who took home the win and the traveling trophy
That same day, the Club also sponsored and sent a team of four members to represent us at the Rough Riders Clay Shoot. Our team had a great day supporting another outstanding organization and was even able to make it back to catch the tail end of the BBQ event.
We also want to thank our judges — Reel BBQ, Q Southern BBQ, Kristina Rice, and Laurie from LaurieLivinLife— who helped crown the winner. Live music from the Jam Jones Band capped off an amazing community day. Paul was also on the news during the week of the event with Club cooks and Q Southern to help promote the Throw Down, and we’re thankful for the media support.
A massive thank you goes out to our committees, volunteers, and everyone who stepped up behind the scenes and on event day. We were able to raise money for the Club while hosting an incredible community-focused event, and that only happens because of teamwork.
On January 20, Alison and Rick appeared on Great Day Live to talk about the Club and what we do, helping spread the word even further.
We also kicked off the year strong with our first networking event of 2026 on January 27, which had a great turnout.Thank you as always to Clear Sky Club Haus for hosting us and supporting the Club.
Our committees continue to meet regularly and are already deep into planning for our 2026 events and fundraising efforts.

Looking Ahead
Please save the date for our Annual Charity Golf Tournament on April 16. This is our largest fundraiser of the year, and community support is critical to keeping our programs running and allowing us to grow and implement new initiatives. If you know individuals or businesses who may want to sponsor or support the tournament, please help spread the word.
Get Involved
If you’re interested in getting more involved or would like to be added to our volunteer list, please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Mannie, at [email protected]. We’re always looking for members who want to help support events, outreach, and the mission of the Club.
Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, volunteer, attend events, and support Club-214. January set the tone for an incredible year ahead, and we’re excited about what’s to come.
See you soon,
Your Club-214 Land & Sea Board of Directors
