The Largo Golf Course will be closed tomorrow morning, Wed, Jun 24, for aerification, and will reopen to the public at 1pm.

Aerification on golf courses is a vital process of making holes in the turf to relieve soil compaction, improve air and water infiltration, and remove excess thatch, leading to healthier grass and better playing surfaces. Aeration is necessary for the long-term health of the golf course, allowing for more consistent and firm conditions once the turf recovers.

Largo Central Park Playground will receive several exciting upgrades later this summer, including new play areas designed for children of different ages. The playground will close to the public on Aug 11, 2026, as construction begins and will reopen once the project is complete.

The improvements will help enhance one of Largo’s most popular family destinations. Largo Central Park is enjoyed by more than one million people each year and hosts dozens of major events and celebrations.

Please note: While Largo Central Park Playground will be closed for renovation upgrades, Largo Central Park, including its other amenities, trails, and event spaces, will remain open to the public throughout construction.
