• Reporters and other persons seeking responses to questions or requests must direct their inquiries to the Strategic Communications Office through normal channels and to refrain from submitting questions as comments.

• Anyone posting comments contrary to these guidelines may be prohibited from further participation. We reserve the right to remove any comment at any time for any reason and may block the user if deemed appropriate.

⭐ Mildred Helms earned National Certification for the first time
⭐ Sanderlin earned National Certification for the first time and Nationally Certified-Demonstration status
⭐ Jamerson recertified and earned Nationally Certified-Demonstration status

This Demonstration status recognizes schools that not only meet the Standards of Excellence but also exceed them, serving as models for innovative, high-quality magnet education across the country. This recognition reflects the incredible work of our students, educators, and families who continue to make learning innovative, engaging, and meaningful.

Last week, nearly 100 graduates crossed the stage at our countywide graduation ceremony, and every one of them has a story of perseverance, determination, and never giving up. 👏 From graduates who completed their final coursework over the summer to adults who returned to earn their GED or complete our adult high school program, this group proved that it’s never too late to reach your goals. Congratulations to our FINAL graduates of the Class of 2026! We are so proud of you! 🎉🎓

From the Seminole High School baseball field to the World Series, Brett Phillips never forgot where it all began. ⚾️ A proud Class of 2012 graduate, Brett turned a childhood dream into a 13-year professional baseball career, from being drafted by the Houston Astros to hitting a legendary walk-off for his hometown Tampa Bay Rays in the 2020 World Series.
