At 15:37 the Larimer VFD was alerted to Baker School Road for a Public service detail for a cat stuck in a tree. Tower one set up and removed the cat from the tree.

Last night at our monthly meeting, the Larimer VFD honored lifelong firefighter Tim Eichelberger. He has served the community for 50 plus years. His commitment and dedication to our department is truly incredible. Thank you Tim and here's to many more years to come.

Our department had a busy day yesterday ending the day with 10 calls.

Tanker 1 was dispatched to assist Slickville VFD with a house fire. Great job by everyone involved.

It is with deep regret that the Fire Department announces the passing of member, George Mitchell.

George served the department and community with dedication, professionalism, and honor.

Please keep his family in your thoughts. Funeral arrangements will be posted once available.

🔔🚨 At 1:16 AM, Tanker 1 was dispatched on Interstate 70 to assist Hempfield FD with providing a water supply for a tractor-trailer fire resulting from a multi-vehicle accident.

At 1:20pm, Larimer VFD, along with first alarm companies, alerted to Pine Hollow Road in our district for an electrical fire. Assistant 1 arrived on scene with a working structure fire. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire within minutes.

At 2:45pm, while units were clearing, an additional call came in for Whitney Chase Drive in our district for an odor of smoke in a residence. In standby, Pitcairn E-229 went en route along with our first alarm companies. The source was determined to be a furnace malfunction.
