Perry Park Residents,

For those who have not been following the latest with the new front entry, (https://perryparkmd.colorado.gov/) to see the original rendering, selected by the community last year, and the final design as will be built. These monuments will be installed on both the north and south side of the entry, similar to what was there previously. The north side will read Perry Park Country Club. The landscaping in the final design is much more robust to frame the monuments. The project is anticipated to be completed sometime in mid-October. If you have any questions, please participate in the Metro Board meeting under public comment.

Perry Park Residents,

Starting Wednesday, August 26, demolition will begin on the front entry project. The project is anticipated to take approximately 45 days. During that time, a variety of construction activities will be taking place. Site fencing will be installed, which will limit parking from the front of the park to accommodate construction equipment. At certain times, traffic control will be implemented as construction activities require. Although sometimes frustrating, please give the contractors a break. We all are looking forward to the new front entry to our community.

On August 25, 2026, Black Mountain Construction is anticipated to be reroofing the Wauconda Park Picnic cover roof. It is anticipated that this will be a one-day project. Please be aware of construction vehicles and activities if you are in the area. It is recommended that the tot lot not be used during this period as well. Thank you for your understanding.

Perry Park Junk Dump
Friday, August 14, 12:00 to 5:00pm
Saturday, August 15, 8:00-11:00am

MR Hauling is conducting two Junk Dump Days at the Perry Park Slash Site on August 14th and 15th for Perry Park residents. Please note the times since the event will not be open for full days.

Directions: Take the west fork of Perry Park Boulevard, past the end of the pavement. Continue down the gravel road until you reach the slash stockpiling area. Turn right into the gate.

Hours of Operation:
Friday, open 12:00 to 5:00pm
Saturday, open 8:00 to 11:00am

The following are the 2026 dump rates:
Pickup Truck and Trailer $80
Pickup Truck $60
SUVs $50
Mattresses $250

MR Hauling cannot accept tires, batteries, electronics, paints, or chemicals of any kind. This is not a PPMD-sponsored event, so all fees collected by MR Hauling are at its discretion.

NOTE: Douglas County is setting up its "GreenWorks" recycling center in Sedalia. They are now accepting electronics. Go to https://douglasco.gov for additional information.

Dear Perry Park Residents,

The June Slash Pickup has been completed. Please do not place slash at the roadside until 6 weeks prior to the October pickup. A few reminders:
Once your street was picked up during your scheduled week, no return pickups will occur.
The order of pickup in October is Zone 1, followed by 2, 3, and 4.

Residents wishing to continue slash removal have other alternatives:
Haul it to the Douglas County Slash drop-off site in Sedalia at 5675 Delva Way. https://www.douglasco.gov/greenworks/
Contract with a trash hauler to remove it at your expense.
Chip it by renting a chipper or hiring a contractor to chip it.
Yard waste and clippings can be placed in your trash barrel.

Thank you everyone for your generous donations of slash. These make us all safer. A rough estimate of the volume of slash removed from around our homes over the past 25 years of the program is now over ½ million cubic yards. A good start, but never-ending.

By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open fires, open burning and the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Read more.
