Officer Matt had some extra backup during the Halloween parades today at State Street Elementary. Despite the weather outside, all of the students had a great time parading throughout the school and giving each other high fives.

We were informed by the Dog Warden and other members of the community that the dog that was running loose in the area of St Vladimir's Cemetery has been safely caught and was taken to Blue Chip. Thank you to the Dog Warden and all others who took the time to help this animal.

WVW State Street Elementary parents/guardians, please review the attached document regarding student pickup/drop off. If you will be driving to State Street Elementary, please be reminded that vehicles cannot be left unattended in the drop off lane. If you would like to walk your child(ren) to the doors, please park your vehicle in an available parking space to the rear of the school building.

Also, anyone traveling on E. State Street in the area of the school, expect heavier then normal traffic during morning drop off and afternoon pickup. Thank you for everyone’s assistance in making the 2025-26 school year a safe one.
