HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS REGISTRATION IS COMING!

Presented by Nusenda Credit Union, Casa de Peregrinos’ Hope for the Holidays program helps local families bring a little extra hope to the holiday season. ❤️

Registration begins September 1 and runs through November 20.

📅 Registration Hours:
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
9:00–11:00 AM & 1:00–3:00 PM

Tuesday & Thursday
9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Last Thursday of each month
4:00–6:00 PM

📌 What to Bring:
To register, clients must bring:
✅ Valid ID
✅ Current proof of address

Please make sure you have both documents with you when you come to register.

Today, we celebrate Jessica Barnhill, Community School Coordinator at Booker T. Washington Community Elementary School and recipient of the 2026 National Community School Coordinator Award!

Since joining the school in 2019, Jessica has brought students, families, staff and community partners together to identify needs, connect families with resources and remove barriers to learning. Her leadership has helped create expanded opportunities for students, including tutoring, cheerleading, 3D printing and additional after-school activities.

Jessica’s dedication reflects the heart of the community school model: ensuring students and families feel supported, connected and empowered to thrive.

Congratulations, Jessica, on this well-deserved national honor—and thank you for the difference you make every day! 💜

♻️ Turn empty ink and toner cartridges into brighter futures for New Mexico children!

LCPS schools are supporting NM Lions Operation KidSight by collecting empty ink and toner cartridges for recycling. Proceeds help provide vision screenings, eye exams and glasses for children in need throughout New Mexico.

Save your empty cartridges and bring them to your school’s collection box. When the box is full, NM Lions Operation KidSight will pick it up.
