Hi Everyone --

I've made the sad decision to cancel the Caroling Party this year.... I'm so sorry -- and so sad, too. I love to go caroling, and I love to have all of you here to carol with me.... but I am still not well, nor is my husband -- and Spencer is now sick and has a fever.

SO - for the health of MY family and YOUR families, I'm canceling the party. (I've also heard the weather's going to be yucky... that was just a confirmation of the decision I'd already made.)

If you are well -- I'd like to encourage you to get a group together -- and go caroling! Your neighbors would love it! Even if just your family went, that would be fun. "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear!" (Taking a plate of cookies along to a neighbor or two might help spread a little cheer, too!!) :)

Next year, if God is willing(!), we'll have a "healthy" year and be able to put on a great party -- to which you're all invited!

SO -- Merry Christmas! Thank you for a wonderful semester. You are all a blessing to me. Start thinking toward the spring -- our theme is "Thistle & Shamrock," Celtic music to bring in the spring! Rehearsals will probably start Jan. 22 -- possibly the 15th... but I'll have to see where I am at the beginning of January! I"ll be in touch!

God bless you all this season. I pray that the celebration of Jesus' birth will light up your hearts this Christmas!

Hey Everyone -- Regarding the Rio Grande Theatre concert -- some extra details for you... You need to be there at 4:45, because the doors open at 6, & the concert starts at 6:30, which means we'll only have the hour and 15 minutes to pull it together in the new venue -- because we can't continue to rehearse back stage.
Since we'll be doing the exact same program, we'll need to figure out where to stand, where the speakers will stand, etc., etc. SO-- be there at 4:45 in full uniform! See you then!! :)

AWESOME CONCERT NUMBER 2 LAST NIGHT!! You guys gave a great performance -- so many nice comments. NOW -- ONE MORE TIME!! Tuesday -- 4:45 -- Rio Grande Theatre (on the Downtown Mall) -- full formal uniform, just like Friday and Saturday nights -- same concert EXACTLY!! Same attention to details, same following the director, same listening, same, same -- and better!! See you there!!

AWESOME CONCERT LAST NIGHT!!! BUT -- don't get cocky!! The pressure's on -- we have something to live up to now. See you there tonight at 5:45 WITH goodies in hand! Look beautiful (yes, even you manly men!) because Mr. Diven's going to take some photos of the choir on the risers immediately after the concert tonight. See you then!!!

Yet another reminder!
REMEMBER -- the uniform check is TUESDAY. So please come either dressed in the uniform, with clothes to change into, or bring the uniform with you early, change into, and then back out of, when you're checked off.

ALSO -- PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE -- be practicing with your CDs!! We're so close! Work on "Ding-a Ding..." and memorizing ALL words and music. If you stumbled around at all on Thursday, work on having it down by Tuesday!!

Thank you!!

Hi MVTSers!

Just a quick and cheerful reminder that.... our concerts are less than 2 weeks away!!

SO -- the "Game Plan" is as follows!

1 -- all music MUST BE MEMORIZED this week!
2 -- Auditions for reading parts are this Thursday immediately after choir
3 -- speaking of Thursday -- this Thursday, Nov. 29th is our first extra rehearsal -- please, please make plans to be there
4 -- All rehearsals from now till the concert have been extended --as is noted on our calendar -- to 6:00
5 --- The Tuesday, Dec. 4th rehearsal (still at Calvary) will be our uniform check day -- please either bring or wear your uniform so we can be certain all aspects are correct before our concert
6 -- Our Final Rehearsal is the following Thursday, Dec. 6th, at St. James -- please be on time or early, as much as it depends on you
7 -- Ladies -- I sent an email out to the parents about a necessary addition to your uniform, asking for feedback, and the consensus is to purchase these ASAP. These will cost $5 each,, (cash or check payable to Mrs. Gilbert), and we should have them by a week from tomorrow.

I know this is a lot -- we have much to do, and we all must work together to be prepared. BUT -- you're all sounding very good -- we can do it!!

Thank you! Keep singing!! Learn that music! It's gonna be fun!!
