Congratulations to the Mayfield High School Trojans softball team on winning the State Championship! 🏆🥎

We are especially proud to see so many Vista alumni on this incredible team representing their school and community with pride, hard work, and determination. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! Congratulations, Trojans! 💙💛

Las Cruces City Council recognized the Mayfield High School Softball Varsity team with a Certificate of Excellence at today's Council Meeting. 🥎 The 2026 Varsity Mayfield softball team won the southern New Mexico softball invitational for the 2nd consecutive year. This team won the district 3-5A championship and the 2026 New Mexico class 5A state championship. They set a new state record by hitting 98 home runs on the season, including a 5A state record for runs scored in the state championship game when they defeated rival Las Cruces High School 20-2. The Lady Trojans finished with a school record (29) wins becoming the first Mayfield high school softball team to win a state championship. Congrats

Today, we are incredibly proud of a group of our amazing ENLACE students who had the opportunity to present their Action Research Project to the Las Cruces Public Schools Board if Education.
We are so proud of their hard work, dedication, and courage to present in front of district leadership and community members.

Today we had the honor of welcoming back the Class of 2026 for their Senior Walk through the halls of Vista Middle School! 🎓💙

Seeing our former Eagles return in their caps and gowns was a powerful reminder of how quickly time flies and how proud we are of each and every one of them. From middle school students to graduating seniors, your hard work, growth, and perseverance have led you to this exciting milestone.

Thank you for coming back to inspire our current students and remind them that big dreams are possible. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! 🦅

As we are gearing up for summer break, it is also time to begin gathering all school materials, uniforms, and technology! Please help your child begin locating and returning all items borrowed from Vista:
-athletic uniforms and equipment
-library materials and textbooks
-school laptops and hotspots
-all other items used for instruction that belongs to the school.
