The AgRisk Viewer (https://agrisk.jornada.nmsu.edu/) puts publicly available USDA Risk Management Agency crop insurance data at your fingertips. You can explore and visualize trends across time (1989-2025) and space (by county or state), examine indemnities and affected acreage by commodity and cause of loss, and download the data for further analysis.

Want a picture of how your forage is doing this year?

The Rangeland Analysis Platform (RAP) just updated its Herbaceous Production Report, a tool for monitoring forage conditions across your ranch and the surrounding county.

With RAP, you can: 📍 See how your area’s grass and forb production compares to normal 🌦️ Track how drought or good moisture is affecting growth through the season 📅 Look at cumulative or 16‑day production to spot trends early 📊 Compare this year to the past decade or long‑term averages 📥 Download maps or data if you want to share with your grazing association, agency partners, or neighbors.

RAP uses satellite imagery and on‑the‑ground measurements to give you a reliable, big‑picture view of forage production - helping you make grazing decisions.

The RAP Production Report is now live! This tool allows users to explore at the national and county levels how current production compares to historical herbaceous production.

The Rangeland Analysis Platform combines satellite imagery with thousands of on-the-ground vegetation measurements collected by BLM, NPS, and NRCS. The power of cloud computing and machine learning technology allows the platform to easily map vegetation across the United States.
