💚 Honoring Sarah Doehring’s Legacy
As we kick off BBBS Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate and honor the life of a remarkable member of our BBBS family, Sarah.

For seven years, Sarah shared her time, kindness, and experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Most importantly, she shared that time with her Little, Hayly, building a friendship and creating memories that will continue to be cherished.

Her dedication to serving others was also reflected throughout her life. She spent 24 seasons as a smokejumper with the Missoula Smokejumpers and later served as a Forest Aviation Officer on the Gila National Forest. She also gave back to the Silver City community through Women in Silk and the many ways she shared her time, experience, and passion with others.

Sarah’s life was filled with service, adventure, mentorship, and community. The impact she made lives on through the many people and communities she touched, including Hayly and our BBBS family.

We are grateful for the time Sarah shared with our BBBS family and for the kindness, dedication, and compassion she brought to everyone around her.

Fly high, Sarah. ✈️️💚

Our deepest condolences go out to her family, friends, and the entire Silver City community. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

What a wonderful way to end the summer! ☀️💦 This months match activity was our final summer splash - filled with fun, swimming, laughter, and quality time together. Bigs and Littles enjoyed making memories and strengthening their special connections. 💚🖤💚🖤🏊‍♀️

It’s time to celebrate our August Match of the Month! 💚

This month, we’re excited to recognize Liliana (Big) and Clayton (Little)!

Since being matched in November 2023, Liliana and Clayton have grown their friendship through creativity, fun, and discovering new interests together. From tie-dyeing and painting to playing video games, their time together gives Clayton the opportunity to explore what he enjoys while continuing to build his social skills.

Liliana’s willingness to try new things alongside Clayton has helped create a friendship where they can have fun, learn, and simply enjoy spending time together. Their match is a great example of how the little moments can turn into meaningful connections and lasting memories.

Congratulations, Liliana and Clayton, on being our August Match of the Month! 🎉💚
