One year ago today: Rex A Schildhouse visited the Museum and made a video with is review. During his 3.5-hour visit, Rex said he was in "awe" of how kid friendly it was, by the quality of the information on signage, and just how much there was to see. He emphasized the cleanliness of the pens and care of the animals, which is of the utmost importance to us and our livestock staff.

🤠🐂 All aboard the Ag Wagon: Join us this Saturday, May 30, to learn about cattle drives and chuckwagons from 10 a.m. until noon! 🍳🥓Chuckwagons carried all the necessary supplies and equipment to feed a crew of cowboys on a cattle drive or during the annual round-up.

🛞Little buckaroos will make paper chuckwagons to take on the trail home.

🛞After the Ag Wagon, see a real chuckwagon in the "Riding the Herd with Billy the Kid" exhibit and head to the South 20 to visit our cattle.

🎟️The Ag Wagon is a program for children to learn about a wide variety of agriculture-based topics through interactive activities. All of the Museum's programs are supported by the Friends of the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum

New Mexico Farm & Ranch Museum is open on Memorial Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On this day, we remember the men and women who died while in the military service of our country.

Military Families: Visit our Museum for FREE until Sept. 7, 2026. The NM Dept. of Cultural Affairs (DCA) is honored to offer free admission to its 8 museums and 8 historic sites this summer to active-duty military personnel and their families through the Blue Star Museums program.
DCA thanks our military families for their service and is honored to share with them New Mexico’s cultural treasures throughout the summer!

⚾️🤠We're bringing it home at COUNTRY NIGHT - Agriculture Day at the Isotopes Game on Saturday, May 30th! Bring the whole family out for a fun night at the ballpark and to support local agriculture. NM Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum will be joining other awesome organizations to increase awareness about our state's agriculture.

🤠🐎Make your mark with a leather stamping activity at the Ag Wagon on Saturday (May 23) at the Museum from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Craft a personalized leather stamped keychain to take home!
