Sometimes putting conservation into action starts with having the right tool for the job.
Did you know some New Mexico Soil & Water Conservation Districts make specialized equipment available to local landowners and producers?
Depending on the district, resources may include no-till drills, seeders, mowers, spreaders, aerators, tractors and other equipment that can help establish vegetation, improve soil health, manage working lands and complete conservation projects.
These programs can make conservation practices more accessible without requiring every producer or landowner to purchase specialized equipment of their own.
Equipment and rental requirements vary by district, so reach out to your local SWCD to see what may be available in your area.
