FILIPINO AMERICANS FOR BIDEN HARRIS THANKS PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE
Filipino Americans for Biden Harris (FAFBH) extends our deepest gratitude to President Joe Biden for his distinguished service and steadfast commitment to the United States of America. For 54 years, President Biden has exemplified what it means to be a true patriot, serve in elected office with integrity and dedication, and always prioritizing the needs of the Democratic Party. His long and extraordinary career has been marked by his relentless pursuit of justice, equality, and prosperity for all Americans.
President Biden's tenure in office has been particularly meaningful to Filipino Americans. His Administration has recognized and celebrated our contributions, ensuring our voices are heard and our community is represented. Filipino Americans have greatly benefited from his policies, which have protected healthcare for those with pre-existing conditions, lowered costs for millions of patients, and resulted in greater gains in health insurance coverage for Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities than any other racial or ethnic group. President Biden's commitment to the Filipino American community is also reflected in the historic number of Filipino American delegates attending the Democratic National Committee Convention and appointments throughout his Administration—including Nani Coloretti, Deputy Director at the Office of Management and Budget, Gina Ortiz Jones, former Under Secretary of the Air Force, and Camille Calimlim Touton, Commissioner of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. All of these many milestones have profoundly impacted Filipino Americans, providing essential resources and opportunities to thrive.
As we approach the final months of his Presidency, the Filipino American community stands ready to support President Biden in any way possible. His leadership has inspired the community to continue the work he has started and to build upon his legacy. Filipino Americans are committed to carrying forward his vision for a better, more inclusive America.
Hon. Melissa Ramoso, National Co-Chair of FAFBH 2024 and Councilmember and Former Mayor of Artesia, CA, stated, “We started this journey four years ago and were steadfast in our commitment to President Biden and the betterment of our nation. We are grateful for his leadership and ability to bring back America from its darkest days our country has ever seen. His courage to lead and serve as our President should always be met with respect and honor. We are eternally grateful for his service and forever indebted to him and his Administration.”
Hon. Mark Pulido, National Co-Chair of FAFBH 2020, former Mayor of Cerritos, CA and long-time public servant, added, “As a returning delegate to the Democratic National Committee Convention, I have had the privilege to cast my vote for several presidential nominees. President Biden's presidency provided the healing and progress the nation desperately needed after the Trump administration. His commitment to restoring decorum, unity, and respect was a breath of fresh air for America and Filipino Americans across the country.”
As Filipino Americans reflect on the past and look forward to the future, the importance of unity and collective action is recognized. President Biden has set a strong foundation, and it is up to each and every one of us to build upon it and strive for the progress and justice he has always championed. We are filled with immense gratitude and thank President Biden for his distinguished service and unwavering dedication to making America a better place for all.
