Yesterday I had the honor of giving the keynote at the 2026 Nevada Bar Admission Ceremony, and here's what I told our state's newest lawyers:
Your path doesn't have to be a straight line. Mine was a zigzag, and every turn was a chance I took
because my gut said go. I wouldn't trade a single one. Some of you will practice law for forty years. Some of you will be doing something next year you can't imagine today. Either way, what you earned today doesn't expire.
The way you think.
The way you argue.
The way you walk into a room
and make someone understand.
That belongs to you now,
in every job you'll ever have.
So when an opportunity shows up,
probably when you least expect it,
and your instincts tell you to go,
don't wait for it to be perfect.
Take the chance.

Congratulations, counselors. Welcome to the profession. Thank you to Chief Justice Herndon and the Supreme Court of Nevada for this incredible honor.

Yesterday I delivered the keynote at the Asian Community Development Council’s College Readiness Bootcamp at College of Southern Nevada-West Charleston Campus.

I told the students the truth about how the world works: merit helps you succeed, but your network is what opens the door to the room where you get to show it.

My advice: see the bigger world, understand how it works, shape your place in it on purpose, and share it.

Grateful to ACDC, moderator Patranya Bhoolsuwan, and everyone who showed up to make the day possible.

What an inspiring afternoon at Her Legacy: A Women’s Leadership Luncheon! Grateful to Patranya Bhoolsuwan for hosting such a powerful gathering of women leaders here in Las Vegas.

It’s always energizing to be in a room full of women building, leading, and lifting each other up. Thank you to the panelists who shared their wisdom and journeys: Juanny Romero, Maho Sugai, Maggie Chui, and Catherine Francisco. Each of you brings something different to the table, and that’s exactly what makes our community stronger.

Community like this doesn’t happen by accident. It takes people willing to show up for each other, again and again. Proud to be part of it.
