The Judicial Council is a separate branch of the CSUN Student Government, consisting of 9 Justices. The Council plays an important role as an arbitrator and interpreter of the governing laws of the student government as a whole. The main duties of a Justice is to judge the constitutionality of the acts within CSUN Student Government, conduct interpretations of the CSUN Constitution, and hear appea
ls of decisions of CSUN entities. An effective Justice must be reliable, must have effective oral and written communication skills, and must also have the integrity to evaluate rules and make decisions objectively.
