September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the children, families, and communities impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

We're honored to share Gabrie’s story. At 13 years old, Gabrie faced a childhood cancer diagnosis that changed her life. Through months of treatment, she found hope in the nurses and doctors who cared for her.

After being referred by Cure 4 The Kids, Gabrie's wish was something remarkable: to give a scholarship for a nursing student at Roseman University. Her wish was rooted in gratitude and a desire to give back, helping shape the future of nursing and potentially impacting another child facing a similar journey.

For nearly eight months, we had the privilege of documenting Gabrie’s story. Watch our latest wish-umentary to learn about her medical journey, the healthcare heroes who inspired her, and the lasting impact of her wish. 💛

✨ Scarlett’s wish came true! ✨🏰💕

Scarlett wished for a magical trip to Disney World, and her dream became a reality! 🎉✨

Mom shared that the whole family had an amazing time. The kids loved exploring the parks, but they also loved making memories at Give Kids The World Village: from riding the carousel to enjoying ice cream most nights. 🍦🎠

And for Scarlett, the highlights were riding the roller coasters 🎢 and, of course, meeting the princesses! 👑💖

Diagnosed at birth with a nervous system disorder that limits his mobility, A***n experiences challenges that make it difficult for him to move freely. Trips to the park are a favorite family activity, but many public playgrounds often make it hard for A***n to join in the fun. That’s when A***n decided on his wish – to have a wheelchair accessible playground right in his own backyard.

Today, A***n has a safe, inclusive space where he can play and explore with ease. “A***n’s wish was a true blessing, especially during these times.” – Alondra, A***n’s mom 💙

“My daughter beat cancer, and [her wish] was like a celebration of she made it. We made it.” – Jennifer, Jonie’s mom 💙

Jonie’s big sister spotted a rarity in her eye, which led to a devastating cancer diagnosis, six months of chemotherapy and Jonie’s eye being removed. Her wish to see every animal she loves became a light of hope and joy for Jonie’s family as she recovered. “I [have] seen half of them, but then I really wanted to see all of them – and some don’t live around here,” Jonie said.

On her wish, Jonie fed peanuts to a gorilla and met a friendly llama and giraffes. But the highlight was a surprise unicorn photoshoot. “I loved it!” Jonie said. 🦄
