We represent the commissioned Police Officers and Correction Officers of LVMPD. We also represent The City of Las Vegas Detention and Enforcement Marshalls, and Municipal Court Marshalls. We are members of (NAPO) National Association of Police Organizations, (SNCOPS) Southern Nevada Conference of Police and Sheriffs, and the BIG 50 which is an informal association of the largest law enforcement associations in the United States. On August 29, 2026 Police Officer Christopher Delong was shot and killed responding to a domestic disturbance in Columbia, South Carolina.

Officer Delong had initially responded to a report of property damage from a domestic dispute. After leaving the original call, he identified a subject and vehicle matching the reported description at a nearby location. When backup officers arrived a few minutes later, Officer DeLong and another officer had been shot. Officer DeLong succumbed to his wounds at the scene.

The suspect, who had a long criminal record, died at the scene.

Officer DeLong had served with the Colombia Police Department for nearly two years. Survivors included his wife and two children.

Today we honor our Brother,
Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Clark Anthony Wooldridge who died in the line of duty on August 14, 1979.

Clark was killed in a vehicle collision while responding to a call for service.

Clark was 22 years old and had been a cop for only 1 year. He was survived by his wife of 2 years.

Services will be held at Central Church in Henderson at 1000 hours.

Expect travel delays as certain roadways will be temporarily closed.

Route:

1. 0900 hrs. Procession will depart Palm 1600 S. Jones.

2. North on Jones to US95 to I15 South.

3. South on I15 Exiting at Sahara east bound to LVBLVD.

4. South on LVBLVD to east bound 215

5. 215 east to US95 north bound to Russell rd.

6. East on Russell rd to Central Church.
